My Practical Test at the University of the Visual and Performing Arts! πŸ›️πŸ’ƒ

The University of the Visual and Performing Arts (UVPA) in Colombo was always my first choice. Recently, I got the chance to attend my practical entrance test there. Since I live in Gampola, which is quite far from Colombo, my sister and I stayed at my aunt’s place the night before. πŸ πŸ›£️

I will never forget the moment I first stepped into the university. I had goosebumps! I wore a simple and decent outfit, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Even though it was a forest of concrete buildings, it felt like my dreams were finally coming within reach. 🌟 The sound of drums and cymbals (Thalampata) echoed throughout the entire campus, making me feel right at home. πŸ₯πŸŽΆ

After meeting new friends from different parts of the country, we were given rooms to change into our performance costumes. When my turn came, I walked into a large hall. My heart was racing, but I stayed focused. πŸ’“

For my performance, I played the character of 'Kalagola' from the famous 'Dikthala Kalagola' play. 🎭

My mime and loud, energetic singing made the professors laugh and smile with joy! I danced with all my strength and passion. At the end, the judges looked at me and said, "May you have the merit to come back to this university as a student!" πŸ™✨

I walked out of that hall with a huge smile on my face. After changing back, we had our lunch, took some photos to remember the day, and headed home. It was truly one of the most beautiful and unforgettable days of my life! πŸ“Έ❤️
